• Choose what role(s) you are auditioning

  • Make separate tapes if you are auditioning for different characters

• Download the instrumentals to sing over

• You will be required to film yourself singing and acting for each role

• State your name, age, and role you are auditioning for at the start of the video

• Record footage of yourself singing lines from the vocal sheet music​

• You may also include a vocal performance of your choice that is no longer than 90 seconds

  • Reccomended genres:​

    • Modern Pop/Rock Musicals​

    • i.e. Wicked, Hairspray, Dear Evan Hansen, School of Rock, Waitress

• Include a 2  minute performance of a monologue of your choice in your audition video

  • Reccomended Genres:​

    • Comedy​

    • i.e. Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle, Easy A, Superbad, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Pitch Perfect

• Edit footage together or submit them as seperate videos

  • please specify wether the video(s) you are submitting is an acting audition or music audition

• Remain in front of the camera at all times

  • Performing the action lines are not required​

• Film indoors with appropriate lighting and neutral background

• Frame yourself so that we can see your face clearly

  • Do not be too close or far from the camera​

• Make sure the vocals are clear

  • Use a microphone if needed​

  • Make sure the room has decent acoustics (no echos or reverb)

• Once you are finished recording your tape, upload your self tape to YouTube as unlisted

  • Title your video as:

"[Character Name] - Cringe Kid Kyle: The Musical - [Your name] [Acting/Singing] Audition Video"​

• If you are auditioning for different roles, upload different YouTube videos

• Send the link of your self tape at cringekidkylethemusical@gmail.com or below, along with other audition materials

• Please include acting/singing reels of any previous work if available
