Cameron Kalaukoa

Cameron was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. He is currently studying film production at the University of Hawaii at Manoa under the Academy for Creative Media. Cameron has enjoyed being a part of various productions in the sound and editing departments and is eager to help with the sound design of Cringe Kid Kyle: The Musical.

eric wilkins

Born and raised in Delaware, Eric is an aspiring filmmaker and screenwriter who looks forward to developing his own style in film. Entering his senior year in the Academy for Creative Media this fall, he plans to continue his education after graduating from the University of Hawai’i with a focus on screenwriting. Eric has worked in various roles on student projects and has previously won his school’s screenwriting competition for a script inspired by his time in the military. Eric most recently wrote and directed a short comedy entitled The Six Foot Sit Down.

Daniel le

Born and raised in Hawaii, Daniel is currently a senior at the Academy of Creative Media at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is one of the producers, and the gaffer on Cringe Kid Kyle: The Musical. His passion for film making started in middle school where he made public health and safety PSA's for Olelo. This carried on throughout high school and university where he decided to pursue a degree in film. Most recently, he directed and edited Fashion Sense by Valerie, a local food and lifestyle TV show on Spectrum OC16. He is excited to be a part of the first musical produced at UHM.

Karlyn kaai

Karlyn Kaai is currently in her final semester of ACM at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa pursuing her BA in Digital Cinema. She has taken a variety of media courses from Digital Media, Computer Science, and Animation. Throughout her journey she finally discovered her true passion for editing. Karlyn puts her all into each film she invests in and enjoys contributing her skills to making each film come to life, Cringe Kid Kyle: The Musical being no different. She is excited to be part of the first musical film in ACM and stoked to be a part of the team.

Born in Thailand and raised in Hawaii, Apisak “Max” Chaisomkhun is an aspiring filmmaker, currently studying at the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Academy for Creative Media in his senior year. Apisak is an individual who believes that everyone has a story that could “come to life” through the power of filmmaking, which inspires him to pursue Cringe Kid Kyle: The Musical as a producer.

Mandy sugihara

Mandy Sugihara is a senior at UH Manoa pursuing a BA in Digital Cinema and a minor in Japanese. Throughout her educational career, Mandy has been focused on documentary filmmaking. This will be her first experience with a musical piece. She will be working as the Director of Photography on Cringe Kid Kyle: The Musical and is excited to experience the creative possibilities only presented in musical filmmaking.

Justin Garde is currently seeking a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Musical Theatre. He has been playing a variety of instruments since his childhood and continues to explore new musical avenues. He aspires to be a conductor, composer, and director in musical theatre. Cringe Kid Kyle: The Musical will be Justin’s first project and he is thrilled to be composing the music.

Ian Severino is the Writer/Director of Cringe Kid Kyle: The Musical, and an aspiring filmmaker, who is currently working toward his BA in Creative Media-Digital Cinema and will be entering his final semester as a University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa undergraduate in the fall of 2021. After only two years in his current program at the Academy for Creative Media (ACM), Ian has had the opportunity to create several of his own short films and collaborate with more peer artists than he could’ve ever dreamed of to create such works as the 2021 ACM Showcase Best Comedy, Good Guys & Bat Guys: a bats-planation. This upcoming project will be Ian’s first venture into the musical genre as well as his first ever collaboration with Composer/Lyricist Justin Garde, and he could not be more thrilled to have been given the opportunity to bring his ambitious shenanigans to the screen.
